We are delighted to congratulate our colleague, Otmar Lendl, on being awarded the Golden Decoration for Merit to the Republic of Austria. He received the award for his many years of outstanding service in the field of cybersecurity – both nationally and internationally. He is one of the driving forces behind the establishment of GovCERT in the Federal Chancellery and the national CERT and has made a crucial contribution to strengthening the cybersecurity infrastructure in Austria. With his competence he is known and well-connected throughout the EU. We are proud that as part of the CERT.at team he contributes every day to make the internet a safer place.

CERT.at is Austria's national Computer Emergency Response Team. It coordinates the responses to IT security incidents, supports companies and organizations in defending against cyber attacks and publishes warnings and practical tips. On the website www.cert.at, interested parties can subscribe to mailing lists to receive regular warnings about current IT security issues as well as selected links from daily source monitoring. It is also possible to report security incidents directly via www.cert.at.
