Help that makes a difference: nic.at Christmas donation goes to “PAPAGENO”

Many years of groundwork, continuous effort, and dedication have gone into these projects: We warmly congratulate the Hospice Movement Salzburg on the anniversaries of two of its various services: 25 years of the Salzburg Day Hospice (the oldest day hospice in the German-speaking world) and ten years of the mobile PAPAGENO Children's Hospice Salzburg.

The PAPAGENO children's hospice has been existing for ten years and supports children, young people, and their families throughout Salzburg. Parents of seriously ill children and young people in particular regularly reach their limits in order to be able to care for their children at home - and thus in a familiar and loving environment. Children's rooms become intensive care units and parents become care experts. Home care often prolongs the lives of young patients. Mr. Eisl confirms this: “Sick people are often discharged from hospitals with the statement that nothing more can be done. We show that there is still a lot that can be done. In 23 years, I have witnessed amazing stories.”

When parents don't know what to do, PAPAGENO's highly qualified team of doctors, nurses, psychotherapists, and social workers is there immediately, even outside of opening and outpatient hours. 120 families and children have been supported over the last ten years.

That's why nic.at's Christmas donation this year comes from the heart. Simone Binder, Head of PR and Marketing, personally presented the donation check for € 5,000. “With our financial support, we want to enable affected children and their families to receive this special support during a difficult time,” says Binder.
