Change of nic.at Whois policy

In order to provide our domain holders a more extensive data privacy, nic.at has resolved the following changes regarding hidden contact-data (phone number, fax number, e-mail address):

In the domain registration process via the nic.at-website the option "hidden" will be the standard setting for all 3 contact-data-fields as of 07/01/2010. If required, this option must be explicitly set to "show".

Also we would like to ask all ISPs to inform your customers about the data display in the public whois-database. Please clarify with your customers whether the public display of data is desired or not. We generally suggest hiding as much data as possible.
