The Internet Foundation Austria (IPA) is an Austrian non-profit foundation for the following purposes:

Thus, the Internet Foundation Austria (IPA) supports projects and activities which contribute to the expansion, further propagation and versatile use of the internet in Austria. This support particularly focuses on creating and ensuring new means of access.

The organisation supports projects and activities from physical persons and legal entities that demonstrate outstanding accomplishments in the development of the internet in Austria according to the purpose of the foundation. Since 2006, under the name "netidee.at", the Internet Foundation Austria (IPA) issues calls for projects, which will be evaluated by an independent advisory group, before beeing supported.
