TLDs – Neues von .bg, .sx und .bayern

.xxx – ICM Registry bereitet Einführung vor
Die Debatten um die Porno-Domain .xxx finden kein Ende: kaum war die Einführung beschlossen, hat Indien angekündigt, alle Domain-Namen mit dieser Endung zu sperren. Unterdessen arbeitet die designierte Verwalterin ICM Registry Inc. intensiv am Sunrise-Verfahren.

Kundengewinnung durch neue Domain-Namen
Die Versicherungsbranche im deutschsprachigen Raum bekommt im Internet einen eigenen Namensraum: Im Jahr 2011 wird es mit „.versicherung“ eine neue Top-Level-Domain im Internet geben, die exklusiv für die Branche – von Versicherungsvermittlern bis zu großen Finanzkonzernen – gedacht ist. Damit werden Domains wie z. B. kranken.versicherung oder allianz.versicherung möglich.

Deutsches Cyber-Abwehrzentrum nimmt Arbeit auf
Wie die USA und andere Staaten hat jetzt auch Deutschland ein eigenes Cyber-Abwehrzentrum: Das Gremium nahm am Freitag in Bonn seine Arbeit auf, wie das Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) mitteilte. Das BSI hat in dem neuen Gremium die Federführung und stellt neben den Räumlichkeiten auch sechs der zehn Mitarbeiter, unter ihnen auch BSI-Präsident Michael Hange als Sprecher des Nationalen Cyber-Abwehrzentrums.
